Went here for my birthday. Food was mediocre but way over priced! Got a slice of key lime pie to go... $6.95 for a sliver and I doooo mean sliver of pie! Would be an ok place to go for a few drinks but definitely not the food!

Really good. It's a great place to chill and have amazing seafood. Don't come here if your in a hurry because it takes a while but it's worth it. Nice and local. Get the big seafood pot. Yummy.

This place has been around forever and I had a hard time understand how it could still be in business but have such low reviews. Now I understand...kind of. I can't review the food because we never got any. We ordered six blue point oysters to start and after munching on a couple stale crackers and waiting a half hour, we bailed. There were only 5-6 tables and two servers on the floor but the manager has zero situational awareness. The one guy we saw on the line was way in the weeds and she was completely oblivious to what was going on. Zero situational awareness. She was just sitting at a table inside playing on a tablet while her restaurant failed. Another couple didn't even have drinks fifteen minutes after sitting down on the patio. This place is a total clusterfcuk

Food was of inconsistent quality. Calamari & fries shrimp were excellent. Fish was acceptable. Crab cake was under cooked and key lime pie was marginal and very over priced for the size. Service was marginal. Patio was nice, but poor lighting did not allow you to see your food or menu.

Worst place ever. Please don't waste your money or time! Very dirty tables , plates and cups. Including us there were 2 other tables in the whole restaurant. We waited almost an hour for 3 beers and a half dozen oysters. And our main dinner order still never came after over an hour of waiting. We got up and spoke to the worst manager ever about the service. She did not care about anything. We then payed for the drinks and app leaving that nightmare never to return. I have never experienced anything that bad. I hope they go out of business and a better restaurant opens in its place!!!!

Where do I start? I'm a Florida local and while I'm sitting here waiting 45 minutes for my food, I have to tell you the wait for the mediocre food that is overpriced is a shame. The location and ambiance is great, but the slow service, small portion and average food isn't worth it. I ordered a $25 dollar sweet chilli salmon that was over cooked and small. Come on a piece of salmon from publix down the street is only $10-12. Anyway, the corn was soggy and the Latin rice was just watery, white rice with a sprinkle of green flecks. It's not Latin at all.. I hate to say it, but please, owners get your stuff together and match the quality of your food to the price.

Nice little place to eat. The food is great for the price. The coconut shrimp was excellent. The blackend mahi was excellent. the decor is a bit cheesy then again it's the kind of cheesy I like.

Oriental chicken salad was beautiful but rather tasteless. Needed something. Kids burger was big! And he gobbled it down so it was good. Popcorn chicken was actually homemade chicken tenders that were yummy. Fries were average. $35 for three meals. I won't come back but it wasn't horrible. Dinner prices for seafood are high. So I hope the evening chef is better than the one that cooks lunch.

I ordered the fish and chips which was worse than disgusting. The fish had no taste and the fries had been fried so many times there was nothing left in the middle. The presentation of the food is great but they need to work on the taste. They should pay you to eat there........a good indication.......Saturday afternoon lunch time and the place is empty.

The worst tasting (actually tasteLESS) meal that I've paid for in YEARS. The wife had nostalgic pangs whenever we'd pass this local joint, because her late father took her there when she was a teen and she remembered the food as good. We stopped in on a Friday evening for a drink and perusal of the menu. They had an all you can eat buffet on Fridays only, including my favorite bivalve: Blue-Point Oysters. We figured that it was worth a try, and chose to sit outside on the canal-side deck, because their A/C was NOT WORKING. In FLORIDA? In September? Inexcusable! Boy! Did we figure the food wrong! NOT ONE dish in the buffet had anything approaching taste. It was just awful beyond description. Everything tasted pre-cooked, frozen, and reheated. Even the usually flavorful Blue-Points had absolutely NO TASTE AT ALL! How do you do that to an oyster? I don't even know--unless they were frozen at some time. I could--under normal circumstances--put away six or seven dozen oysters with no problem. It's part of what went into our decision to try the buffet. I could only manage to put down 11 of these, surrendering to my screaming tastebuds insistence that I get out of there immediately. What a waste of $21 each! Sewage might well have more flavor than the garbage that they served us! At least the martini was a good one. One more thing: the deck out back is at the leeward end of the canal-end that the restaurant sits on. This means that EVERY bit of flotsam and trash in the canal was suspended in an algae-choked soup at the base of the deck--a disgusting accumulation of plastic garbage, floating flip-flop sandals, empty soda bottles, and a dead fish or three. All in all a horrid experience--but the service was good, the martini was excellent, then again the tacky Tiki atmosphere was DIRTY--so all that I gave them is a charitable 1-bump. Perhaps the regular menu meals are better, but we'll never find out. After THIS meal they will NEVER see us again. this place gets a double FEH!

We have been coming here for the past 2 years and love it! I don't like going to "commercialized" restaurants, this is one of the reasons we go here. We always sit on the back patio and it's very relaxing. They offer great drink specials too.The owner is always very welcoming when you walk in. The food and presentation are awesome! I don't know if the negative reviews are from a previous owner, maybe? I would highly recommend this place!

Don't be fooled by these negative posts. This place has two restaurants. A $1 cafeteria style place and then a normal restaurant style place on the other side. The food is wonderful and the prices are unbelievable! Definitely a bang for your buck! The staff and owner are friendly and remember their guests! Home cooked food, great presentation & great taste! The $1 menu side is average food.

I don't like giving poor reviews, but there was nothing appealing about this place. First of all, sure - it's outside and the ambiance SHOULD be nice, but it's adorned with fake flowers and cheesy rope lighting. It could be way cuter. Secondly, citronella candles are a MUST when sitting so close to murky waters. I got about 300 bug bites in just 30 minutes. The food was subpar at best. I ordered the stuffed flounder, which was prepared with more salt than had it come straight out of the ocean water. My boyfriend ordered the steamed seafood bucket - pass! Though one waitress seemed experienced and catering to her patrons, the waitress we had was a complete moron and oblivious. It took us 20 minutes to get our waters - and she only brought out ONE water. Like, were we supposed to share? Horrific.

We just read a review of this place in the PBP. We were seated on the back dock under a lanai which was pleasant. For dinner had the early bird which consisted of salad, encrusted snapper, and a eclair for dessert. The best part was the vegetables which consisted of ratatouille, red cabbage and cut potato. Not bad, but not the best. The fish felt like it was processed and popped into a toaster. Service was OK. Ambiance is the best part.

Went here for dinner the other night and had awful service! Waited at least a half hour for our order to finally be taken. And then another a hour and a half for our food to be served!! And there was never an apology!!! I have never waited so long for food at a restaurant before. And I had two little kids with me. The only good thing was that they brought the kids food earlier. Thank goodness for that.
One, two, three strikes, never again. One of the most unkempt and filthy restaurants I have ever been too. The food has all of this weird fuss about it - which just hides how bad it is. The kitchen chops up or shred something and covers every dish they serve that way. The fish has on my three visits been so old and bad tasting that it borders on spoiled. I visited because it was close by my home - five minutes and easy parking and no traffic on the route. But, I have realized it is better to drive and get a decent meal than to patronize this place. Dockside Sea Grille served me food that was not edible on three occasions and the place was filthy and dirty. Don't take stock in the photos - the "dock" area in the back is infested with flying and crawling insects (there were ants crawling all over the rails by our table) and looks out at a stagnant canal. We are in Florida who can not serve a decent piece of salmon or swordfish? As horrendous of a cook as I am - I can even get this right and made in a healthy and tasty way. They can't.

Horrible service, middling overpriced food... Avoid. Try Captian Charlie's reef grill, leftovers, or food shack!

They can't.

Good food, service is slow. It would be a 4 if service was better. Calamari is great and the hogfish dish is quite nice.

Worse place ever. Do not come. Overpriced. Waitress was horrible. She was either high or very dumb. Didn't know the menu. Very dark when sitting outside, no adequate lighting. Food was horrible.

The food was very good here. The outdoor atmosphere is great. The service was a little slow bit we were not in any hurry. It was nice to be able to just relax end enjoy without feeling rushed. We were very surprised after reading the other review on here.

I don't know where those bad reviews are coming from . The fish is fresh and the sauces are great. We eat there every time we are in town.dont be fooled by those bad reviews. Go try it and make up your own mind! No it's not the plaza but your not in New York City . Fun and friendly people.

Went to this place - front is deceiving out back is adorable- food was great and had beautiful presentation! Good experience, definitely recommend it. Owners were very friendly.

Cozy, Local, real Florida feel, family run grill on the water. Watch pelicans from the casual outdoor dockside tables as you enjoy wholesome good-sized portions of yummy fish and comfort foods. Good value all the time - especially on Tuesdays & Thursday, early bird specials, and fine $1 buffet menu for lunch where all menu items, including homemade bbq chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, roast beef, banana walnut cake etc are only $1 each. Bring the family - relax and enjoy the down-home Florida atmosphere.

This place gets a solid 2 stars for food and service. I won't bother you with the ugly details.

Great place for dinner and drinks. The Buffalo Calamari is incredible! They also have a $1 Lunch Buffet. Tourists and Locals.

(4)Zachary L.

Simply wonderful. Coming back.
